What this bill does

Prohibits common interest community (CIC) governing documents from prohibiting the installation, use, or maintenance of fire-hardened building materials that meet certain health and safety standards. Authorizes CIC governing documents to include reasonable rules regarding the design, dimensions, placement, or exterior appearance of fire-hardened building materials if the rules meet certain criteria.
