ESB 6106 — Modifying the securing timely notification and benefits for laid-off employees act. (REVISED FOR ENGROSSED: Concerning the laid-off employees act.)

What this bill does

Excludes tribes and tribally owned businesses from the definition of employer under the Securing Timely Notification and Benefits for Laid-off Employees Act. Exempts from public disclosure the names and addresses of affected employees provided to the Employment Security Department (ESD) in mass layoff and business closing notices. Requires that mass layoff and business closing notices to ESD and bargaining representatives include affected employees' names and addresses and removes the requirement that affected employees' names be included in notices to employees.
