What this bill does
Modifies the Insurance Fraud Program (Program) administered by the Insurance Commissioner (Commissioner) including the Program's purpose; the Commissioner's authority; duties of insurers, licensees, organizations, agencies, businesses, and others; and victim restitution. Establishes a new crime of Insurance Fraud, punishable as a class B felony and subject to a 10-year statute of limitations.
