SSB 5067 — Concerning impaired driving.

What this bill does

Reduces the breath or blood alcohol concentration limit from 0.08 to 0.05 percent for driving, having physical control of a motor vehicle, operating a vessel, and complying with the Washington Code of Military Justice. Requires the Washington Traffic Safety Commission to implement a public information campaign about the reduction. Requires the Washington State Institute for Public Policy to evaluate the impacts of the reduction by March 1, 2029.
