What this bill does
Modifies the foreclosure prevention fee, including the exemptions, payment options, authority of the Department of Commerce (Commerce) to administer the fee, and other requirements. Requires Commerce to complete a study evaluating the feasibility of directing a portion of collections from the foreclosure prevention fee to establish a state homeowner assistance fund.
