What this bill does
Allows the Department of Licensing (Department) to refuse to accept an initial or amended financing statement for filing under certain circumstances. Creates a procedure for the Department to terminate unauthorized Uniform Commercial Code filings. Creates criminal penalties for communicating an unauthorized financing statement to the Department with intent to harass or defraud the debtor named in the financing statement.
