HB 2441 — Concerning medical insurance premium reimbursements for surviving spouses of line of duty deaths.

What this bill does

Expands the reimbursement of medical premium costs for survivors of Law Enforcement Officers' and Firefighters' Retirement System Plan 2 members killed in the course of employment. Requires Medicare Part A and B premiums be reimbursed for these survivors, and also requires reimbursement for medical insurance costs from the date of the member’s death until the determination that the member was killed in the course of employment.
