SHB 2207 — Concerning warehousing of alcohol.

What this bill does

Creates a bonded beer warehouse license, to authorize the storage and handling of beer in a warehouse off the premises of a brewery or beer distributor, with a license fee of $150 per year, subject to a license fee waiver provision. Establishes requirements for the license including having a federal permit or authorization, posting a continuing beer tax bond, and reporting monthly to the Liquor and Cannabis Board. Specifies the circumstances under which beer may be removed from the warehouse and the authorized activities related to handling beer. Authorizes storage and handling of beer and nonalcohol materials in the same area of the warehouse, including wine if also holding a bonded wine warehouse license; allows customers to access any areas of the premises; and similarly revises the bonded wine warehouse license.
