What this bill does

Establishes the gross misdemeanor offense of False Identification as a Peace Officer, which a person commits by making, providing, or possessing certain items with a law enforcement agency's insignia and knowing that such items falsely identify the bearer as an officer, or by intentionally or knowingly misrepresenting an object as belonging to a law enforcement agency.
