SHB 2156 — Providing solar consumer protections.

What this bill does

Requires a person to be licensed as an electrical contractor to sell or install solar energy systems that cost more than $1,000. Requires a person selling or installing solar energy systems that cost more than $1,000 to have a solar energy installation contract with the customer. Provides for various provisions, notices, and disclosures that must be included in the installation contract. Provides for enforcement under the Consumer Protection Act.
