What this bill does

Authorizes the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to create and manage a trust land transfer program to transfer economically underperforming state lands to other purposes, and to acquire replacement property to provide sustainable revenue to trust beneficiaries. Modifies the DNR's authority to exchange state forestlands on behalf of counties. Eliminates a restriction that the DNR may not hold more than 1,500 acres in a land bank.
