ESHB 1369 — Concerning off-duty employment of fish and wildlife officers.

What this bill does

Directs the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) to encourage off-duty law enforcement employment by its officers. Requires the Chief of the WDFW law enforcement to adopt guidelines for officers who choose to engage in off-duty employment. Specifies the state is not liable for tortious conduct by off-duty WDFW officers.
