What this bill does

Requires an insurance company to provide a policyholder with information about their wildfire risk score when the policy is adversely affected, non-renewed, or cancelled due to wildfire risk. Permits policyholders to request a revision to their wildfire risk score or classification once per policy period, with appropriate documentation, and sets up an appeals process. Requires an insurance company that uses a wildfire risk model, a catastrophe model, or a combination, to submit certain information about those models to the Office of the Insurance Commissioner with their rate filings.
