SSB 5298 — Concerning the notice of sale or lease of manufactured/mobile home communities.

What this bill does

Modifies requirements for an owner to provide a written notice of opportunity to compete to purchase (notice) if the owner intends to sell a manufactured/mobile home community or intends to consider a purchase offer received. Requires an owner to provide the Department of Commerce with an update on the status of the sale every six months from delivery of the notice. Removes the requirement for an owner to provide a written notice of sale to tenants and certain entities.
