What this bill does
Allows a school nurse or designated trained school personnel to use any available epinephrine on school property to respond to an anaphylactic reaction when certain requirements are met. Requires the school district or school to reimburse the cost of the epinephrine to the owner if it is not school-owned epinephrine and not owned by the individual who received the epinephrine. Adds civil and criminal liability protections when epinephrine is administered by a school nurse or other employee in substantial compliance with the written policies of the school district if they are aligned with a standing protocol.
