What this bill does

Specifies the actions that a county legislative authority can take when no bids are received for a public works or purchasing contract. Allows counties to forgo advertising and competitive bidding requirements on public works contracts with a value of less than $40,000, and on purchasing contracts with a value of less than $20,000. Increases the dollar value threshold of purchasing contracts for which an alternative contracting process can be used.
