What this bill does

Provides alternative processes for the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and Sound Transit to award contracts for construction and improvement of transportation structures, highways, and facilities by allowing the use of Construction Multiple Award Task Order Contracting (MATOC). Allows the WSDOT and Sound Transit to create a single roster or multiple rosters for different categories of anticipated work. Requires the WSDOT and Sound Transit to create award and protest processes, criteria for qualifications, and report on the use of the MATOC and its outcomes.
