What this bill does
Requires each private detention facility to report certain incidents to the Department of Health (DOH) and the law enforcement agency with primary jurisdiction in the area the facility is located. Beginning November 1, 2026, requires each law enforcement agency with a private detention facility in its jurisdiction to submit an annual report to the DOH with specified information about incidents at or involving the facility.
