What this bill does
Changes the Hospital Safety Net Assessment (HSNA) to the Hospital Safety Net Program. Allows intergovernmental transfers for designated public hospitals. Creates a Medicaid directed payment program. Increases assessment amounts on hospitals. Changes the amounts of payments to hospitals from the HSNA Fund. Increases the amount of assessment dollars that the state may use in lieu of General Fund-State Medicaid payments to hospitals.
