What this bill does

Allows the Department of Revenue to convert a taxpayer's property tax appeal from informal to formal within 10 days of the date of the appeal. Provides a three-year process for a taxing district to correct and recoup a levy error that is not the fault of the taxing district. Allows a taxing district to preserve its existing levy capacity when merging with another district.
